"The first carbide blades that i ever saw for the local tradesmen were back in the early 1970's. I live in Kershaw, S.C., but have a Heath Springs, S.C. address. Back to the blades. The first blades were made by
Makita and honest to goodness would last nearly six, yes six months. These blades were
C 4 rated. I actually believe these were made too good for after a couple of years these blades became very hard to find. The blades were replaced by other carbide imitation the only lasted one to two weeks before having to purchase another, ( c 2 rated , better profit for the local builder supply. This Irwin Marathon c- 3 blade will last appx. 1 -3 months, an excellent value for the money.
