Solid, die-cast and precision machined aluminum motor housing and base. Micrometer depth of cut control. Permanently sealed ball bearing construction. Self-releasing collet system automatically frees bit from collet when loosened. Flat top design for fast, easy bit changes. Large control knobs positioned close to base for accurate control. Fits standard plunge and D-handle bases 11A, 27,500 RPM. Includes 1/4" and 1/2" collets.

"I have been a professional woodworker for over 20 years and was recently in the market for a new router. I have owned a PC690 for more than 15 years and it has never let me down. I was very happy to see that PC still offers this super tough and accurate tool. I have owned other brands but none have stood the test of time like the Porter Cable. I expect to get as many yearsof service out of the new one as the old one,"
