"I bought this dehumidifier last year as an upgrade over the five year-old model I was using. It was decent at first, but never excellent. The optional hose drain attachment is not the normal dehumidifier configuration and fell out easily. At times I found a puddle all around the dehumidifier. There is no built-in humidity sensor, so you must turn the unit on and off-- not helpful on vacations, etc. My compressor failed within a year. Spend an additional $20-$50 for a name brand with better features, it will be well worth the additional cost."
