"I owned and use this same product for 14 years and it finally failed . Decided to replace it with the same thing because it was so reliable. The new one is very flimsy compared to the old one. The dome is threaded but the base has several tiny prjections that are suppose to engage the threads but are hardly adaquit and the dome thens to fall out when tightened. The base is not as finely molded as the old one. Parts were loose and banging around in the carton when it was received. If it wasn't so costly and trouble, I would have returned it. Hope it lasts half as long as the first one."
