excellent battery charger

"I bought this about a year ago to replace an aging sears unit. I have used it several times in 4/10/40 amp recharge modes and it appears to work as advertised. It will recharge quickly at first and then taper as the battery reaches a full charge and will go into a float charge mode if left connected. This unit is far superior to that of older (non-microprossor) chargers. I would not go back to that technology. The unit is made of quality materials. The battery clamps are robust as is the cabling. The outer case is a hard plastic. It is well designed to allow on-board storage of the cables and electrical cord for a neater/organized appearance. It is lighter that you might expect; it does not use a transformer-hence the weight savings. No real negatives from my experience."
