"This box is much sturdier than the usual village-issue. It's slightly smaller as well, but easily holds 2 regular-sized brown paper grocery bags stuffed full of paper products. The smaller size makes it easier for those of us with short arms to carry heavy loads like magazines/catalogs.
We've had ours over a year now and it has no cracks despite our cold winter and the trash guys' habit of pitching hard back to the yard or onto the driveway after emptying it.
I'm buying 2 more to replace our bins for metals & plastics."
