The DirectRoot Plus combines the proven effectiveness of the WaterSpike with specially formulated, slow-release fertilizers to give you the easiest way to deliver the right fertilizer, right to the roots. Just peel off the label, insert into the soil at plant drip line, and water as usual. When the fertilizer is used up, and the growing season is over, there is still a fully functioning WaterSpike in the dirt, delivering water to the roots and aerating the soil. Use: 5" for pots 12" or taller and most medium-large outdoor plants. Place under plant drip line (or halfway between stem and side of pot). Use 1 for small-medium plants and pots up to 14" in diameter, use 2 for medium-large plants and pots over 14" in diameter, use 3 for large plants and bushes and medium trees, use 4 for most larger trees.
