Excellent Workhorse

"I have only owned this snowthrower for a month now so I cannot speak to its longevity yet.

We just received 18" of heavy snow overnight here (Michigan) and this snow blower went through it without missing a beat. It even managed to cut a nice path through the hard pack over 2.5' high at the end of my drive way (thank you snow plow).

The electric start is nice for cold starts, but I tried a pull start for kicks and after 3 quick pulls it fired up in 10 degree weather. I also did an in store pick-up of the order and the local DoIt Center was very helpful in loading the skid into my mini-van.

I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking to replace their single stage with something with more power. The 8.5HP engine had plenty of power to get the job done and the knobby tires provided adequate traction to keep the unit moving. Just be prepared to use the slowest forward speed if you are moving 18 inches of snow."
