Standard Tar 50LB FLAKE ICE MELTER

Snomelt label. Calcium chloride flakes. Melts to -25 F. Generates heat on contact with ice and snow. When used as directed, it will not damage trees, shrubs, and grass. Snomelt will not chemically or physically attack concrete. Needs to be stored in a container that will not allow it to attract moisture so it will not clump. Best Ice/Snow Melter

"This is the best ice/snow melter around. It's 100% calcium chloride which means it begins melting on contact. After you plow, it gets rid of the residue of ice and snow, so you can see your sidewalk. It works in subzero termperatures unlike plain halite or rock salt which might give your visitors some traction, but which won't melt the residue when it's that cold. If a light snow follows, it just keeps melting. It doesn't harm sidewalks or vegetation at our house either, unlike rock salt! It's a hard product to find.
