"While dimmer than similar LED lamps, the soft incandescent light is far more pleasing. 6V batteries are much easier to deal with than 4D when you have a half dozen of these lamps to power.
Be sure to get replacement bulbs with your initial purchase, since for me one of the original bulbs burned out within minutes. (Out of four lamps.)
Not enough light to read by; get a separate book light for reading. You'll want four to light up the main room you sit in during power outages, plus one or two more for bathroom / kitchen.
The dim light and having to deal with replacement bulbs and bulky batteries are totally worth it for the quality of the light. I can't recommend these enough."
